Name: Alaskan Hopothermia Double IPA
Brewery: Alaskan Brewing Company
Style: Imperial/Double IPA
Rating: 4 out of 5
Origin: Juneau, Alaska USA

Geoff and Marcy Larson founded the Alaskan Brewing Company in 1986. The brewery was the 67th brewing company opened in the United States and the first to open in Juneau since Prohibition. The Alaskan Brewing Company was ranked number 16 on the Brewers Association’s “Top 50 Craft Brewing Company” list, which is based on beer sales volume.

The aroma of Hoppthermia is as expected, a great floral scent, which comes from the Amarillo, Citra, and Centennial hops. There are hints of grapefruit and orange which I didn’t immediately pickup but really add a nice fruity flavour to counter the bitterness.

This review is a little different as it takes form of a video but it also has a nerdy addition called the LootCrate. As I explain in the video LootCrate is a collection of toys, tees, stickers and other cool stuff that’s mailed to you in magical crate. Well, the crate isn’t magical, its simple a box containing a bunch of hidden treasures inside. Check out the video and you’ll see.
